One of my favorite activities is to play board games. I have enjoyed playing them from a young age, and I may be a bit competitive! Growing up, I had a good friend who also enjoyed playing games, and, as competitors, we were well matched. Othello, Pente, and Stratego were among our favorites.
Growing up I also liked to babysit. Babies can be such fun, but, bigger kids can play games with you! I enjoyed my children very much as babies, but I sure enjoy playing board games with them now. We also like playing card games which I will share more about in a future post.
This puzzle is a nostalgic one for board game fans. It was super fun to put together, because it was almost like a bunch of miniature puzzles.
Quirkle isn’t exactly a board game (because there is no board), but is a great family game. It is similar to Scrabble (which I love -but not gonna marry), however, instead of using letters, you use colors and shapes. This makes it playable by younger people too.
Gobblet is another family favorite. It is only for two players, but can be played quickly over and over, so lots of people can participate. It is a fun twist on the classic tic-tac-toe that even grownups will enjoy.
